Villa Kalani nee SawAh - bali

Bali BALANCE.

PEACEFUL PLACE.

Commenced 2012

An Original Bali Lost Villa. New Family. Keeping the old. Embracing the new.

Villa Sawah was a series of recycled Joglo buildings from Java creating a sense of old Indonesia. Sitting amongst established trees, with bamboo enclosing the original rice terraces water running ancient Subak.  Overgrown and dark.

Trees thinned. Bamboo cleared. Buildings added & renewed. The existing pool, a beautifully designed feature using the ancient terrace lines as an outline was retained, becoming a central feature within the compound. Tropical gardens & boundaries replanted with flowering trees, palms & plants, colourful and scented. Beyond, a large terrace lying aside the subak was re-formed, a lawn created extending the existing natural lines.

The essence of this garden remains the Sawah so practically placed along the natural contours of the land. A natural union between nature and agriculture. Preserving the essence and creating the senses. Proudly displayed for all devotees to experience.

Villa Kalani. A lovely plantation styled villa set within rolling lawns and surrounded by lush tropical gardens and views of working.

An oasis within.
